MBSR CDs

I’ve been helping MBSR teachers to create professional quaility Meditation and Yoga CDs for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for the past five years. I’ve taken Bob Stahl’s teacher training practicum and I have been teaching meditation in a prison for many years, so I am familiar with all aspects of MBSR.

My personal meditation practice has had a huge impact on my life and I have spent many months in silent meditation retreats during the past decade. I appreciate the opportunity to provide this service in order to help spread this incredibly valuable practice. If cost is an issue, please contact me and we may be able to work something out.

I have two options available for producing CD masters which you can then have duplicated…

Option One

  • You come to my small recording studio (in Corralitos, CA) and we record your tracks
  • I clean up the sound and adjust the track for the best possible sound
  • I post an mp3 audio file on my website for you to review via the internet
  • You email me a list of changes and/or corrections (add silence here, cut this line, etc.)
  • I send you two copies of a master CD which you can have duplicated
  • The cost is $250 for each CD (two half-hour meditations).

During the recording, I will be sitting and doing the meditation along with you (taking occasional notes on places that may need editing). Many of my clients have found this to be both helpful and comforting.

Option Two

  • You record your guided meditations yourself using a computer or cassette recorder and send them to me along with a list of any editing that needs to be done.
  • The cost is $150 for each CD (two half-hour meditations).

While it is possible to record four meditations in one session (breath, bodyscan, standing yoga, lying yoga), many people find trying to do so much recording in one day to be very difficult and the ‘performance’ can suffer towards the end.

Some clients have found it helpful to record some practice sessions on their own (using a tape recorder or mic built into their laptop ) so they can work on their delivery before they do the actual recording session.
